The Blogging from A to Z April Challenge is for bloggers who wish to participate by publishing a blog post every day in April except for Sundays. Each blog post will focus on a letter of the alphabet. For example April 1 will be A, April 2 will be B and on it goes. By the end of April, a blog post for every letter of the alphabet will have been posted. My theme for 2023 is Book Reviews.
You can read my reviews without worrying about spoilers. My reviews are quite brief and I give away nothing more than you would read on the back cover or on Goodreads.

My Thoughts
I’m a big fan of Kristin Hannah which is why I decided to read this book. The topic didn’t really call to me but I was expecting to enjoy it.
Between Sisters is a book about relationships, both the good and the bad. It’s not the type of book that I would normally pick up, but I did enjoy it. I found the sisters to be very interesting characters. This story is totally different to other books written by Kristin Hannah, that I have read. My favourites are Alone and The Nightingale. Between Sisters is an enjoyable read, but I didn’t find it to be totally engrossing and memorable.

I haven’t read anything by Kristin – perhaps I will try another of her titles if they are available via Libby.

I’ve recently read The Four Winds by this author. Reminiscent of The Grapes of Wrath – family travelling west. I might look for this B book in the library just for something light.

Cathy thanks for the reminder. I forgot to mention it as my other favourite. I read it twice. Between Sisters would be good for a light read

Writing a good book review is never easy, but you do well. I remember reading this book years ago and liking it, not loving it.

Jill I’d recommend Four Winds. It’s based on real events in the wheat belt of America.

I also like Kristin Hannah and this sounds like an intriguing plot. I may add it to my TBR list.

Though I have loved reading The Nightingale and a few others, I just dont like her books very much. I think Nightingale was the best one of hers. The Great Alone, Four Winds, FireFly Lane 1 & 2 were just not good for me at all. I am glad you enjoyed this one – I find it very heart breaking when a book I spend reading doesnt turn out so good.

The great thing about books is that we all get something different from them. The Nightingale was wonderful
