Reading Update – April #whatsonyourbookshelfchallenge #52booksin52weeks

This year, I am once again participating in the 52 Book Club Challenge. The Challenge is to read one book each week, to a particular prompt. The thing I most enjoy about this challenge, apart from reading the books, is matching books to the prompts. It’s a fun thing to do, and I often end up choosing a book that I may not have otherwise read. That is always a positive. Quite often the prompts have me scratching my head for a while. and that’s when the challenge kicks in. I do enjoy the hunt for a book to fit a particular prompt.Challenge Books.

  1. I must get hold of that Joanne Tracey book. I have been reading a Terry Pratchett book of short children’s stories and a bio Breath by Carly-Jay Metcalfe and a few others. So many books so little time!

  2. Look at all those fabulous 4 star reads! I enjoy picking books for the prompts to but funnily enough the last few books I’ve picked out I’ve ended up changing which prompt they’re for once I started reading them. I just felt like the fit better into some of the harder to find categories.

  3. Hi sherry. I’ve read many Pratchett books over the years but it’s been a while. He’s really great. And I agree with you – so many books and so little time.

  4. Wow! This is an ambitious challenge! I’ve seen it around but never considered the logistics. It must be challenging to find a book each week that fits the prompt because sometimes it’s hard to tell unless you’ve read it. Can you skip around…e.g. a book you read one week ends up fitting better with a future prompt? Or do you follow a strict order?

  5. Carol the challenge can be anything you want it to be. In December I choose books that I think will fit the prompts. There are always some prompts that I love open. For example- a book with an abrupt ending – you wouldn’t know until you read it. I always change my mind as the year goes on and I read new releases. Also I read out of order, not 1-52. It’s a fun challenge
